HEIGHT TREATMENT IN NADIPATHY
Human height is a characteristic that is measured in quantity, and is controlled by multiple genes and environmental factors. In most cases those genes they inherit from their parents, as well as general health and nutrition, during their years of growth. Bones increase in length because of growth plates in the bones called epiphyses. As puberty, progresses the growth plates mature and at the ends of puberty, they fuse and stop growing. The whole of the Skelton does not stop growing at the same time hands and feet stop first, then arms and legs, with the last area of growth being the spine. Growth slows down and stops, when a child has gone all the way through puberty and has reached an adult stage of development. This means that growth does not stop at a particular age, but children who are early developers will stop growing before late developers. After the growth plates fuse, there is no more increase in height, and we all then shrink gradually as we get older. The new born baby having 300 bones, when the child mature to an adult person it comes to 206.
BONE GROWTH IS MAINLY REGULATED BY THESE HORMONES:
1. Growth hormone made in the pituitary gland, which is the most important factor to increase height.
2. Thyroid hormone also regulate the metabolic activities, it maintains calcitonin hormone to maintain calcium levels in our body.
3. Sex hormones, testosterone (or) estrogens which are important for growth during puberty.

WHAT IS DIABETES: It is the condition that body cannot balance the glucose levels due to lack of energy to pancreas (or) the body cannot utilize insulin to maintain glucose homeostasis. It was first known in the 17th century, later it became a dangerous devil to human life.
Again Diabetes is differentiated in to two types’ diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus. While diabetes insipidus is caused by defect in secretion of vasopressin (Antidiuretic hormone) which is secreted from pituitary gland present in hypothalamus. Its function is to reabsorb water from distal tubules in the kidney and due to this it control the concentration of urine. But its deficiency caused increased water excretion through urine even in low intake of water.
Diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus are unrelated, although they have similar signs and symptoms like excessive thirst and excessive urination. Diabetes mellitus is more common than the Diabetes insipidus.
DIABETES MELLITUS: There are mainly three types of Diabetes mellitus.
TYPE 1 DIABETES: The body does not produce insulin due to dis-function of pancreas. Such diabetes called as insulin dependent diabetes. People usually develop type-1 diabetes before their 40th year often in early adulthood (or) teenage years.
Today type 1 diabetes has no proper treatment in all over the world. So these individuals are insulin dependent to rest of their life. Approximately 23 % of all diabetes cases are type 1.
COMMON SYMPTOMS OF TYPE 1 DIABETES:
• Unusual weight loss.
• Fatigue (or) tiredness.
• Excessive thirst.
• Increased urination (sometimes as often as every hour).
• Nausea perhaps vomiting.
• Blurred vision.
• In women frequent vaginal infections.

• Itching skin.

TYPE 2 DIABETES: Globally as of 2013 an estimated 382 million people have type 2 diabetes worldwide. About 90% cases are type 2 diabetes. This is happening due to lack of energy in the pancreas. So that pancreas cannot produce sufficient insulin to maintain glucose homeostasis in our body.

Most gestational diabetes goes away after child birth, but it does put you at higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes later.

DIABETES INSIPIDUS: The several forms of diabetes insipidus are:
NEUROGENIC DIABETES INSIPIDUS: Neurogenic diabetes insipidus is more commonly known as central diabetes insipidus. It is caused by the damage of pituitary gland present in hypothalamus region (or) other reasons like autoimmune, infection, surgery, head trauma, and some drugs.
NEPHROGENIC DIABETES INSIPIDUS: Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus is caused by an improper response of the kidney to ADH, leading to a decrease in the ability of kidney to concentrate the urine by removing free water.
DIPSOGENIC DIABETES INSIPIDUS: Dipsogenic diabetes insipidus is defect or damage to the thirst mechanism, which is located in the hypothalamus. This defect results in the inability for water deficit to trigger vasopressin secretion and thirst. Such patients tend to develop hypernatermia and dehydration without seeking water to drink.
